Kevin & Nick Jonas: Happy Birthday, Mom!

Kevin and Nick Jonas keep close to their leading ladies as they dine out at Villa Blanca in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (July 12).

Joined by Danielle Jonas (Kevin’s wife) and Delta Goodrem (Nick’s girlfriend), along with bodyguard and pal Big Rob, the group celebrated Denise Jonas (Kevin and Nick’s mother) birthday.

Delta is also pictured running errands in Los Angeles earlier in the day.

Today’s topic is a very serious one, violence & bullying. Did you know that 1 in 3 teens will be abused in a relationship? How scary is that?

We recently chatted with some of your favorite celebrities like Nick Jonas, Brenda Song, Debby Ryan, Emily Osment, and Kay Panabaker about a newer form of bullying that has been on the rise the past few years: cyberbullying.

Below are a few ways of how you can get involved to raise awareness about this important issue:

Nick Jonas & Greyson Chance Go To Grammy Camp

Nick Jonas and Greyson Chance hit up the 2011 GRAMMY Camp - guest professional day held at University of Southern California on Thursday afternoon (July 14) in Los Angeles.

The two — who just recently hit the studio together for a few songs — participated in the panel in front of 111 talented high school students from 93 cities and 34 states across the United States.

The program offers selected high school students an interactive 10-day residential summer music experience. Focusing on all aspects of commercial music, this unique opportunity provides instruction by industry professionals in an immersive creative environment with cutting-edge technology in professional facilities.

2011-WHAT DOES NICK JONAS THINK OF DEMI LOVATO'S SKYSCRAPER?

DON'T GET TOO ENTHUSIASTIC THERE NICK JONAS...

Nick Jonas was at the 7th annual Grammy Camp joining Greyson Chance on the master panel for high school kids across the country. He also gave an interview discussing his involvement in the Grammy Camp, Joe Jonas's solo career and what he thinks of Demi Lovato's hugely emotional single Skyscraper.

Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers grew up together with Camp Rock and she used to describe them as her best friends. In particular, of course, Joe Jonas who she famously dated for a while. Many questioned whether her emotional breakdown leading to rehab had something to do with her bad breakup from Joe.

Nick, however, was keen to show that he liked the single and is still in touch with Demi.

When asked if he'd heard Demi's Skyscraper Nick said,

"I have. It's a great song, she played it for me a while ago, it's great."

The interview also asked if he's been giving tips to his brother Joe as Joe's just launched his solo career and Nick has worked on his own music in the past.

Nick replied, "The project that I did was more a side project and he's really doing a solo thing, when I did mine it provided for me to go and be able to do that for a little while.. but he really is doing a solo thing."

Nick Jonas: Demi Lovato's Song is 'Great'

Nick Jonas was on hand earlier this week at the 2011 Grammy Camp to convey his wisdom about music making to a crowd of passionate students from around the country.

The 18-year-old musician caught up with THR later in the afternoon and shared about the experience, “The message that I hope to bring them is just that if you’re passionate about this and you really do want to make a career out of it, a life out of music, it’s the best thing to be a part of.”

“I get to wake up every day and create music. And even when it’s a tough moment as far as career ups and downs, it’s always something you’re passionate about and it’s a beautiful way to spend your life,” Nick continued.

Also asked about former costar and tour mate Demi Lovato’s new track, Nick dished, “It’s a great song. She played it for me a while ago. It’s great.”

Nick Jonas Reveals He Can't Read Sheet Music

During a GRAMMY Camp panel discussion, where THR interviewed the singer, he talked about his biggest music industry fear.

Nick Jonas may be one of the biggest names in pop music, but as campers at the GRAMMY Foundation's annual summer program discovered, he can't read sheet music.

"I can't read music today," Jonas revealed. "But you know, I know how to compose and I'm passionate about performing."

During a panel discussion including Warner Bros. Records executive Mike Elizondo and 13-year old recording artist Greyson Chance, Jonas discussed his biggest fear about the music industry’s future.

"I think my biggest fear is, to be honest, for music to be taken out of schools," he said. "I find that to be really important and the truth is, that when I went to regular school -- I was in regular school until the 3rd grade and then I started home school -- but when I was in regular school, I was actually failing my music class, of all things. I was doing Broadway shows at the time.”

The youngest member of The Jonas Brothers trio explained to campers that his personal music education came from family.

"I was raised in a really musical household," Jonas said. "My dad's incredibly musical and is a pianist and a singer, so there was always music around. If I didn't have that growing up, I don't know where I'd be today."

Upon hearing Nick’s confession, fans on Twitter reacted in shock. Some offered to teach Jonas the skill, while others expressed disappointment. But several fans applauded his natural musical talents.

Jonas is hardly the first successful artist to speak out about his inability to read music. He joins the likes of legendary artists Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey, Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Prince.

As Jonas discussed his hopes for continued music education in schools, fellow panelist Chance expressed his biggest fear: disappointing fans. Elizondo, however, detailed a potential future where people no longer care about music.

"I feel like there's a lack of quality that exists and I feel the focus sometimes isn't always on the quality," Elizondo said. "I'm not saying it's wrong to want to be popular, that's not it, it's when there isn't a balance of substance and something musical and real and honest there. When the music industry is just another vehicle for someone to become famous just for being famous, then that's a fear of mine."

The seventh annual GRAMMY Camp is an interactive residential summer music experience for high school students all over the U.S. The program offers various career tracks, including Audio Engineering, Concert Promotion/Production, Electronic Music Production, Music Journalism, Songwriting and Performance.
