Toronto Blue Jays Jersey

I bought this jersey a couple of days after Alex Rios was traded from the Blue Jays to the Chicago White Sox. I was never a fan of Rios, so it kinda sucked that I had to get his name on the back. But I really wanted a Blue Jays jersey, especially a Jays jersey in vintage powder blue. The jersey is made by Majestic, a company that has made MLB jersey’s for years. I’m not ashamed to say it, but I kinda wish Nike would have made the jersey instead; somehow the Swoosh makes it look and feel better. I honestly would buy more baseball jersey’s if they were made by Nike. However Majestic does still provide excellent quality. I love this jersey because it isn’t a button down, but instead it’s a one piece that doesn’t leave holes when I sit down (like most button shirts). It is made from thick polyester, and the logos are ironed on and then stitched. This feature is great because it is built to last. I’m glad I picked this jersey up and hope to maybe one day add a 90’s version of the Blue Jays jersey to my collection.

i'm so excited, and i just can't hide it

Hi dolls! I am so excited to tell all of you that I was nominated, along with four other fabby bloggers, for Lucky Magazine's Best Fashion Voice Award at this September's FABB (Fashion & Beauty Blogging) Conference. I am so beyond honored to have been chosen - Lucky Magazine has supported DRG and helped it to blossom in so many ways that I cannot thank them enough. 
I am so excited to go to the conference because so many women (and a few boys too!) who I admire will be there: Diane von Furstenberg, Coco Rocha, Kelly Framel of the Glamourai, designer extraordinaire Rebecca Minkoff, Rodger Berman, and Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, just to name a few. I fully intend to stalk down the Kardashian sisters - I think they must know the well-established fact that I am a 'Kim' and that my mother contends she is the 'Khloé' of our family. 
With the conference less than a week away, I am left with a bunch of butterflies in my stomach that I can hardly concentrate on anything - homework, emails, even this post! 
Because I am a jumble of nervous energy, I call on all you dolls to help me with this all important question: what do I wear? I have narrowed down my choices to either Annie Hall menswear chic or a Brigitte Bardot-inspired wiggle dress. I simply cannot decide between the two (maybe I'll do like those obnoxious teens on My Super Sweet Sixteen did and have multiple outfit changes throughout the day). 
More importantly, are there any other bloggers out there who will be attending the conference - and perhaps want to hang out with little ole me? 

Unexpected Guest

This morning I went to go drop off a friend at work, and on the way home I noticed that the Remax hot air balloon was flying up above. Then I looked to the other side of the sky and noticed that a Mr. Peanut balloon was also in the air. This hot air balloon looked so awesome in the sky and I really wanted to take a picture but didn’t have my camera with me in the car. Luckily by the time I made it home the Mr. Peanut balloon was heading my way. I ran to go get my camera and by the time I went outside to take a picture, the balloon was landing in a field across my house. Though most people hate guests that show up unannounced, this was one guest that I will always welcome; he made my morning.

I consider Yoko Ono to be an unwitting fashion icon. Known professionally as an avant-garde artist - nay artiste - and personally as a key figure in the Lennon legend, the idea of becoming a fashion vixen probably never crossed Miss Ono's mind. But with her penchant for short shorts to show off those long lean gams of hers, as well as her rotation of sharp blazers, mini dresses, printed blouses, and sunnies so big she could give Jackie O a run for her money, it's hard to deny that Yoko is a fashionable presence. Being a fan of the monochrome myself, I love that Yoko turns so faithfully to black and white in her wardrobe - whether in her all-white wedding outfit (including white miniskirt, go-go boots, and full floppy hat) or black tailored tux with white satin top hat at the Grammy's (love her standing next to Beyonce!). Forty years and more in the public, and she's rarely missed on a look.

Supernova

Supernova is a stellar explosion that is more vital than Nova. Supernova (plural) are extremely luminous and cause an explosion of radiation that excels in many cases, for a brief period the entire galaxy before fading from view over several weeks or months. During this short interval of the supernova can radiate as much energy as is expected, emitted from the sun for more than the entire period of her life.
Explosion expels much or all of the material the star at the speed of up to 30,000 km (10% of the speed of light), and driving a shock wave in the interstellar medium surrounding it. This shock wave sweeps up expanding shell of gas and dust called a supernova remnants.
Nova (novae combination) means "new" in Latin, in reference to what appears to be the new star shines very bright in the celestial sphere; the prefix "super"

I went stellar cores, which furnaces permanently collapse when their masses exceed the Chandrasekhar limit, while accreting white dwarfs ignite as they approach this limit (about 1.38 times the mass of the sun).

White dwarfs are also subject to a different type much smaller than the thermonuclear explosion fueled by hydrogen on their surface called Nova. Solitary star with a mass below approximately 9 solar masses, like the sun, and turn into white dwarfs without ever becoming supernovae.
Although he did not notice any supernova in the Milky Way since 1604, the remnants of supernova event indicates an average occurs once about every 50 years in the Milky Way. It plays a major role in enriching the interstellar center with the highest elements of destruction.
