Rihanna Plays Hard To Get

Rihanna who's currently on her LOUD tour and partying through her tour stops reveals she likes to play hard to get and men should have to earn her affection.

Rihanna covered the August issue of U.K Cosmo and revealed,

"I'm open to love. But guys should have to earn it because, the minute they get it, they want something else."

"Men are like hunters, they like the chase, so you have to keep 'em guessing. I'm like that too. I get bored fast. So if someone can make me laugh, that's the best.
"I'm turned on by different things. It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing," she added.

Rihanna Tweets 'Special Thank' to PTC for Making 'Man Down' Video Popular

Rihanna's controversial music video for her single "Man Down" recently became the most-viewed clip on YouTube. Knowing that she owed it to Parents Television Council for the success, RiRi tweeted her "special thank" to the watchdog group over the weekend while she's on the road.

"Man Down is the most viewed video on youtube this week! Special thx to PTC and RihannaNavy," the "Battleship" actress wrote on Saturday, June 11. Later in the day, the songstress added another post, "RiRiLovers+RiriHaters...u all made this a success!!! And I truly thank u!"
In a series of longer tweets, she elaborated, "I bring the clip to u, and u take over from there! And I love that u love them! And I love u guys even more... there's video/movie/TV world and there's real life!" For those who understand the message behind the clip, she stated, "I'm just impressed that u kids know the difference! Keep it up to every girl/boy empowered by this....u are the real winners here!"

The "Man Down" music video drew controversy due to its violent closure which sees Rihanna gunning down the man who raped her. PTC argued the murder scene could mislead the rape victims to do something violent instead of seeking help and reporting the assault to the authority.

Despite the complaint, Rihanna insisted her fans understood the "underlying" message of the music video. She additionally said, "In making that into a mini-movie or a video, we needed to go back to why it happened, because obviously she's not a cold-blooded killer...and we decided to hone in on a very serious matter that people are afraid to address."

Directed by Anthony Mandler and filmed in Jamaica, the video was viewed over 17 million people by Friday, June 10 and got additional 3 million views by Sunday.

Rihanna, 50 Cent seek bone marrow for kid

Jun 6, 2011 - Singers Rihanna and 50 Cent have teamed up to help a struggling couple save their ailing baby daughter who is in dire need of bone marrow transplant.

One-year-old Ayelet Galena suffers from a rare life-threatening congenital disorder.

Rihanna and 50 Cent were so touched by the young girl's plight that they immediately signed up for a blood test to determine if they could be donors.

Both have also called on their fans to follow suit, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"Can you help me find a lifesaver for baby Ayelet and other patients? Get swabbed (tested) because maybe YOU can save a life!" Rihanna posted on microblogging site Twitter.

"Gossip Girl" actress Leighton Meester, rapper Pharrell Williams and rock band Linkin Park have also lent their star power to the campaign to save the little girl.

The evolution of Rihanna

June 6, 2011 - Around this time last year, things did not look good for Rihanna's Last Girl On Earth tour. Ticket sales were slow, and at least six shows were cancelled.

Part of the problem was the economic downturn, and the Barbados-born R&B starlet certainly wasn't the only artist to feel its effects. Neither was she one to sit back and wait for better days. Instead, Robyn Rihanna Fenty took action, showing the same single-minded ambition that propelled her from Caribbean beauty queen to international recording artist. Over the past year, the feisty 23-year-old did everything in her power to ensure her popularity.

Instead, Robyn Rihanna Fenty took action, showing the same single-minded ambition that propelled her from Caribbean beauty queen to international recording artist. Over the past year, the feisty 23-year-old did everything in her power to ensure her popularity.

How Rihanna does it

Since she first appeared on the music scene back in 2005, Barbadian singer Rihanna has captivated audiences with her hit songs and more often than not risque attire.

But even when she divides opinion when it comes to her clothes, everyone is in agreement that the four times Grammy winner is a beautiful woman, who can rock many different make-up looks.

So we asked Wendy Coleman, owner of Relaxed and Waxed beauty salon in Kettering, to give us her expert advice when it comes to one of Rihanna’s recent red carpet looks.

Wendy said: “Rihanna has a flawless base, this can be achieved by having an airbrushed foundation base, this will initially even out the skin tone and conceal much better than using ordinary foundations.

“It is a long stay silicone base which sits on top of the skin rather than sinking into it.
“Airbrushed bronzer is then sprayed all over to give a warmer, healthy glow and rose pink blush finishes the base, a good tip is to smile while applying the blusher.

“Rihanna’s eyebrows are perfectly shaped to lift and draw attention to the eye area.

“ To recreate these gorgeous eyes, firstly apply black kohl eyeliner around the whole inner rim of the eye above and below, and right into the corners, as this will frame the eye.

“Then highlight the eye by using a light slightly pink shadow, apply this over the lower lid taking it all the way to and past the inner corner of the eye, and sweep a little above.

“Use a cream shade over the rest of the upper area to the brow line.

“ Then a medium brown shadow is used on the eye socket area.

“Apply black liquid eyeliner to the top lid, and finally add lashings of lengthening mascara on upper and lower lashes to finish the eyes off to perfection.

“For the lips, apply a subtle rose lip liner, blend in and use a clear high shine lip gloss all over to complete this look.”

It takes Allsorts, Rihanna

The clobber, worn in Baltimore on the first date of her Loud world tour over the weekend, appears to be made from Liquorice Allsorts and Tutti Fruttis.

Later in the gig she spanked female dancers with a cane and gave a shocked female fan a lapdance.

Rihanna plays V Festival in August, performing just below her mucker EMINEM on the bill.

Sweet shops in Chelmsford and Staffordshire should start stocking up now.
