Gaga, ooh la la. Lady Gaga has singlehandedly redefined the way that the mainstream audience interprets fashion. No longer are 'good' and 'bad' the only choices, but 'cool', 'outlandish' and 'artistic' now enter the discussion. With a healthy mix of high fashion (Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Louboutin) and her own design collective Haus of Gaga, Lady Gaga is the most inventive singers of today. She has spurred on every major trend (leotards, no pants, blackout sunglasses, structured shoulders, cupid's bow lips) and non-trend (dresses made of disco balls, studded eye masks, full body lace outfits) of the last year and a half. It wouldn't be Lady Gaga if her outfits weren't bizarre, captivating, outlandish, and gorgeously disturbing. Love her or hate her, Gaga is a force to be reckoned with. I proudly count myself as one of her many 'monsters,' because who else but our dear Gaga could wear eye pasties to meet the Queen?
